HI folks, sorry I haven't been around much. My real life has taken some odd turns, and I find myself in a bad way lately.

My psoriasis has progressed beyond plaque and has turned into erthyrodermic, quite literally overnight.

I woke up one morning about a month ago, in severe pain all over my body, and the silvery scales turned brownish, and started peeling off like lizard skin. I have been in constant pain for a month now, 24 hours a day, like my skin is on fire. I haven't had a good night sleep since, because it hurts so much to even lay down on the bed. So, I finally broke down after 6 years (I have no insurance mind you) and contacted a dermatologist yesterday. Today I went to see him.

I am currently on the following:
Clobetasol solution - for my scalp
Clobex spray - for most of my body
Cloderm cream - for my face and groin (yes, it ended up on the penis too :`( )
Atavax - a sedating antihistamine to make me sleep and stop the itch at night

And some good news, it seems I qualified to get Enbrel for free for a year direct from Amgen. So, as soon as the paperwork goes through, I'll be on that in about a month from now.
